Buccal fat pads are oval-shaped accumulations of fat found in the cheeks that give the face a rounded, swollen and bulky appearance. By extracting these fat pads it is possible to refine the face and accentuate the cheekbones. The operation<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This is a simple operation because the buccal fat pads are found inside the cheeks, far away from important facial structures.<\/p>

The duration of the surgery is approximately 1 hour. After applying the local anaesthesia plus sedation, a small incision is made inside the cheek in order to extract the buccal fat pads. To finish the procedure, the surgeon will stitch up the incision.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Once the operation has been completed you may have some discomfort which will be remedied with analgesic pain killers prescribed by the doctor.<\/p>
